Hal Daub Files for Re-election to University of Nebraska Board of Regents

Former Congressman and Omaha Mayor, Hal Daub, today officially filed for a second term for the District 8 seat on University of Nebraska Board of Regents. Today was the first day candidates could file and Daub was in Lincoln early to get his name on the ballot. Candidates must file with the Secretary of State’s office. The District #8 seat, includes much of the Omaha area.

Daub said, “I’m filing for re-election today because I don’t want there to be any question about my intention to campaign hard to retain my position. The University has been a big part of my education and the education of family members for years.  I want our young people to have the best educational opportunities for the most economical dollars.”

Daub will finish his first term on the Board of Regents in 2018.
